at 3 and 9 o’clock it horizontally balance.

We can adjusted the blade track on the wooden or fixed pitch metal propeller by

fitting shims to the propeller shaft hub.

Cropping of propeller blade tips is permitted up to max of

1 inch (25mm) on all blades.

If slight tip or trailing edge in a wooden propeller damaged

it repaired by sanding to new profile, both blades must be similarly shaped.

All composite propellers repair (minor & major) should be accomplished

in approved composite propeller repair facility only.

The suitable inspection method for crack in the aluminum alloy propeller is

dye penetrant inspection.

If Propeller over-speeding between

100%-110% NO maintenance action required.

If Propeller over-speeding between 115%-130% required maintenance action

remove propeller for inspection.

Aerodynamic correction factor ACF

corrects the unequal thrust.

After a lightning strike to metal propeller the propeller heat element

should be checked for continuity and insulation.

Bent, twist, crack, or severe surface damage the propeller must

be return to manufacturer or approved repair facility.

The instruments that monitor the performance of a turbo prop engine are

Tachometer, Torque meter, Fuel flow meter and EGT indicator.

Inspection of taper contact between crank shaft and propeller hub is determined by

bearing blue colour transfer.

Propeller blade angle at full feather

A body capable of rotating about a fixed point is said to be in a static balance when

its center of gravity lies on axis of rotation

After installation a propeller the engine must be ground run to check propeller operation so the

aircraft should be facing into wind

When the propeller blade angle and fuel flow for any given power setting are governed automatically during flight

this is know as alpha range

Propeller static balance check should be

in horizontal and vertical planes

The propeller track should be checked

every annual inspection And 100hrs inspection and time vibration isa problem .
