    2.1 What communication must you have with the driver on a 225 before commencing train preparation

    If 225, check pantograph has been raised and theres power to the train. Don’t start door test until driver has conformed they have built up enough aie in the system and completed a brake test. If required request the driver obtains a line block on any adjacent running lines.

    It is the Tms responsbility to make sure emergency water and snacks are checked before departure and orders made where there is any missing or used

    To determine the doors are working correctly and retract when encountering and obstruction, releasing on the right side, the lights illumiate and they should and the hustle alarms sound as they should

    It should be detailed on diagram or a specific request from maintenace controller or when no DOO slip is available at all on the train

    2.8 Why is it important to start with the ‘off side’ doors when completing a door test?

    If you get a wrong side release its not as dangerous

    So they know to stay clear of the doors and not use them while you carry out the test
