Semaphore distant

Be prepared to stop at next signal. Horizontal yellow caution

Semaphore distant. Clear/proceed at line speed. All associated stop signals are in clear position. Green if dark

Fixed distant signal. Next signal will always be at danger. Be prepared to stop

Colour light distant signal. Modern semaphore. Identified by black signal post plate showing arrow up. Signal number might also be on it. On caution

Semaphore stop signal. Red rectangular arm. Horizontal = stop as does red light

Controlled by the passage of trains. Presence of train activates track circuit. Places rear signal in red when activated. TCB is defined as a line that is continuously track circuited throughout
