This is how the words are arranged. Organized or put together for the message to be clear and easy to understand.

Structure

Used in transmitting the message greatly affects it comprehension.

Code

This refers to the five senses that we use in transmitting the message.

Channel

This is the one who receives or takes the message. Just like the source, the receiver also possesses his own communication skills, knowledge about the topic.

Receiver

Consist of five elements. These are the speaker, speech, occasion audience and effect. This model is the golden rule in public speaking, lectures and symposia, seminars where the speaker has to carefully plan his speech and cautiously choose his words that will impact the audience' s mind.

Aristotle's Model of Communication

Also known as " Mathematical Theory of Communication" - Warren Weaver an American scientist who wrote an article in " Bell System Journal" This model is particularly designed to develop effective communication between the sender and the receiver. In this model, "Noise" is an important factor which affects the communication process.

Shannon-Weaver's Model of Communication

People from different cultures, religious and background tend to give different interpretations to the message. He also pointed out that communication is incomplete without the feedback from the recipient.

Schramm's Model of Communication

This model of communication or the SMCR model. He emphasized the relationship between the sender and the receiver of the message. This model has four components and each component has its own sub-components that support each element.

Berlo's Model of Communication

According to Dance' s, the process of communication evolves from the very birth of an individual and continues for as long as he lives. Just like a human being, all living entities start communicating from the very first day of their existence.

Helical Model of Communication

Ceremonial Setting

Often called the Telephone Model ⚫ Message is not necessarily the message received by the destination ⚫ However, this model has been criticized for missing one essential element in the communication process: feedback. Without feedback, the speaker will not know whether the receiver understands the message or not.

Shannon-Weaver's Model of Communication

Two-way process with the inclusion of feedback as one element This model is more interactive. There is a collaborative exchange of messages between communicators with the aim of understanding each other. It also shows that a barrier, such as noise, may interfere with the flow of communication.
