Herbal Drugs

Over the Counter Drugs

Are commercially produced drugs that can be legally sold or dispensed only by a physician or on a physician's order,

Prescription Drugs

Are commercial products that have paychoactive drugs effects but are not usually considered drugs

Unrecognized Drugs

These are drugs whose sale, purchase or use in generally prohibited by law. Criminal penalties usually apply to violators of these laws.

Illicit Drugs

It is not generally considered a drug and thus be classed as an unrecognized drug

Tabacco

Is also seems to merit its own category, although it too could be included in the unrecognized drugs.

Alcohol

Are drugs capable of provoking sensation, thinking, self awareness and emotion, alteration of time and space perception, illusions, hallucinations and delusions may be minimal or overwhelming depending on the dose LSD

Hallucinogens

Are drugs which increased alertness, reduce hunger and provide a feeling of well being. Cocaine

Stimulants

Oral Ingestion

Drug in gaseous form enter the lungs and are quickly absorbed by the rich capillary system, it is probably the second most commonly used route of drug administration.

Inhalation

The drug can be administered into the body by the use of springe and bypodermic needle in the following ways.

Injection

The drug is administered by placing them in the buccal cavity just under the lips and the active ingredients of the drug will be absorbed into the bloodstream through the soft tissues lining of the mouth.

The drug is administered through the vagina or rectum in suppository form and the drug will also be absorbed into the bloodstream

When the effects of a drug sought can be realized with minimal hazard, whether or not used therapeutically, or as prescribed by a physician.

It is refers to a state in which individual has A compulsion to take a drug, but one in which There may not be a physical dependence.

Psychological Dependence

It is a condition resulting from the repeated consumption of a drug.

Drug Habituation

it is a state of periodic or chronic intoxication produced by the repeated consumption of a drug, natural or synthetic.

Drug Addiction

is the process that refers to all methods and techniques utilized to help an individual to overcome some deficit or impairment,

Treatment and Rehabilitation

A cluster of characteristic reactions and behavior of varying intensity, depending on the amount of the drug taken and length of time used which ensue upon abrupt cessation of a drug upon the body has physical dependence.

Withdrawal Symptoms
