완료부정사

I intended to come earlier. (난 더 일찍 오려고 했다.) I intended to have come earlier. (난 더 일찍 오려고 했으나 못 왔다.) wished hoped, intended, expected, was, were 등의 다음에 완료부정사가 오면 이루지못한 사실을 나타낸다. 소망의 동사가 포함된 과거완료 다음에 단순부정사를 써도 이루지 못한 사실을 나타낼 수 있다. I had intended to come here earlier.

부정사의 의미상 주어

I expect to travel a lot this year =I expect that I will travel a lot this year. I expect him to travel a lot this year. =I expect that he will travel a lot this year. It was a bit careless of her to break two glasses. [of+목적어+부정사]로 부정사의 의미상 주어를 나타낸다. 이 문형에는 careful, carelss, good, foolish, honest, kind, nice, silly, rude 등의 사람의 성질을 나타내는 형용사가 쓰인다.

원형부정사

1.지각동사 뒤에는 원형부정사. 2.사역동사 뒤에는 원형부정사. =Wht do you think so? Please help me (to) do it. 3.Cannot but 원형 = ~하지 않을 수 없다. 4.Do nothing but 원형 = ~하기만 한다. 5.Had better 원형 = ~해야 한다.

기타

부정사의 부정:부정어를 부정사 앞에 놓는다. You had better not be idle. 대부정사:부정사의 반복을 피하기 위해 to만 쓰는 것. if you want to (go). 감탄문을 만드는 부정사 =To think that such a little boy should have done it. 부정사의 태:부정사 중에는 능동형으로 수동태의 의미를 나타내는 것이 있다. =You are to be blamed for it.

동석하지 않은 사람을 험담하는 것은 매우 나쁜 버릇이다.
