what is ABC?

airway- check if there is blockage in airway breathing- Use the maximum head-chin-lift method and look-listen-feel. circulation- use carotid pulse

vital sign

this is done when the victim’s heart stops. ex: chest compression, mouth to mouth resuscitation.

CPR

Are details discovered by applying your senses (sight, touch, hear, and smell) during course examination. EX. Bleeding, swelling, deformities.

signs

Are sensations that may victim feels or experiences and may be able to describe. EX. Vomiting, heat, impaired sensations, dizziness.

symptoms

It is used to reduced swelling and relieves pain, especially used for sprain and strains.

cold compress

A piece of sterile cloth that covers a wound to prevent infection or to stop bleeding.

dressing

used to support injured joints, secure dressings and control bleeding.

bandages
