Measure the resistance using a multimeter, Charge the capacitor by connecting the flying lead to the battery, and record the final potential difference, V0, Discharge the capacitor by connecting the flying lead to the resistor, simultaneously starting the stop clock, Record values of Potential Difference and the corresponding values for time

Use a resistor with low enough resistance for the capacitor to discharge slowly and take accurate readings, Use a data logger

Plot a potential difference-time graph, and find the value for time where the potential difference is 1/e (37%) of the original value, Plot a graph of ln|V|-t and multiply the gradient by -1
